Spring Session at Varsity

During our spring session we are making some changes to our curriculum and policy to better serve our customers. We have even added some new classes!

The first big thing happening at Varsity is the early bird special for our Summer Camp Program. We want to be a part of your summer, so the early bird special will last the whole month of March. Anyone who signs up this month and pays a non-refundable deposit on one of our summer camps, gets at 20% discount off of the total cost of the camp! There are camps throughout the summer for all age groups and with different themes. Stop by the front desk, check out our fliers, or check out our WeChat article about the summer camp program to decide which camp is the best for you!

On the tumbling side, we added an “All Skills Tumbling” class. This class is designed for our athletes that have a specific skill or goal they are working towards. The athlete will tell the coach which skill they would like to master and our coach will set them on the correct course. It is a monthly class and can be used as a low commitment class and a time to have fun and tumble, or as a supplementary class for our more serious athletes that are close to getting a new skill. Either way, this class is going to be an amazing time with coaches that are invested in making your athlete better!

The next class we have added to the gym curriculum is a “Trampoline Skills” class. This class emphasizes everyones favorite part of class, the trampoline! Trampoline skills classes will be a 30 minute class that will focus more on body awareness and building strength instead of specific drills on the spring floor. This class is a perfect supplementary class for all athletes in the gym and will help improve their body awareness and their core strength in their skills on both the cheer and dance side of the gym. Not to mention this class will be 30 minutes on bouncing and jumping that will allow your kids to have fun and get a great workout at the same time!

The first big change for our Competition Prep teams is that we are now going to have team captains! Having captains will help to teach our athletes leadership, teamwork, and responsibility. We also want to give our younger or newer athletes something to aspire to in their careers at Varsity.

The last change we are making for spring is our new Late Policy. Now if athletes are more than five minutes late, they will have to ask for the coachs permission to enter class and may have to do extra conditioning based on how late they are or how often being late is a problem.  The new late policy is meant to help our athletes become more responsible, punctual, and well-rounded through the sport of cheerleading.

We think these changes are going to continue to help us grow and make our athletes the best athletes in China. We are very excited for the spring and are even more excited to lead our athletes to a brighter future in the sport of cheerleading and in the rest of their lives!
